As I sit right now and wait patiently (not really) for some
big work news I am anxious, nervous, excited, and somber. I am one of those people
that bite their nails when anything stressful goes on and lets just say they
have been a little short this week.
I have applied for this one program for the past 3 years and
could really change my career for the better. It could put me in an entirely different
place in my practice. I work in the finance world with mostly men and can say
it has been a challenge. I try to explain this to the boyfriends who even use
to work at my same company but he doesn't see or understand when I try to
explain. This concept is difficult to articulate so this past week when I came across
this video I found it VERY interesting.
First and foremost I am not a crazy feminist but this really
did make me think. This video is from Sheryl Sandberg who is the COO of Facebook.
If you have a good 10-15 minutes I would say it is worth a
watch. What are you thoughts?
I haven't seen that video before. Agriculture is a man's world too so I know how you feel!
